It depicts tender and idyllic characteristics. it is a luminous letter, a divine mystery, one of the ten mystic letters of the Quran. It is derived from the word Lateef (kind or gentle) which is one of the names of Allah. It holds many other spiritual connotations.
It is the Arabic letter Lam.
The Lam, with all its meanings and attributes, is embodied at the center of the painting.
