Collage of silkscreen print - 2019
This artwork evokes the divergence in perceptions about Lebanon and the national identity. While some preserve an idealistic perception rooted in the heritage, social culture and attachment to the homeland, others support a more pragmatic attitude stemming from the reality of corruption and the ensuing daily struggles.
The popular anger that has been recently expressed, especially since the October 2019 revolution, has been tearing at the dire reality to shine a glimmer of light on the potential manifestation of a longtime dream of a better Lebanon and the hope of occurrence of a radical positive change.
