“Every man is two men; one is awake in the darkness, the other asleep in the light” -Gibran Khalil Gibran, Sand and Foam.

Two canvases make a single artwork in black and white contrasting darkness and light. One represents the interlacement of several thoughts, which creates a dark web that disorients Man from the path to the truth. The other embodies space and stillness as the den of the truth but Man shuts his eyes in the bright light. 
Only when Man awakens in the light and the eyes adjust to its gleam, can the truth be revealed and Man becomes One.
