“The waves take you back and forth, and you cannot make up your mind.” – Al Morabba’

Conflicts, social constraints, fragile freedom, corrupted beliefs, trust issues, economic challenges, precarious economic growth, looming war, momentary peace, sectarianism, glimpses of hope, deception, and so on; all describe the lifetime of a person who was born and raised in the Middle East, an ebb and flow of challenges and emotions that seems as perpetual as the sea tide.
That person grows up learning to swim in this sea of chaos and to tirelessly fight or ride the waves to prevent them from drowning his or her dreams. 
Sometimes the tide takes its toll on the restless swimmer, leaving him or her tired and wondering: can I settle on the shore and just dream?

“unity in Diversity” a collective art exhibition curated by Khawla Art & culture featuring established artists from around the world along with a selection of HH Sheikha Khawla Bint Ahmad Bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi’s art pieces.
